  How long should I expect to be off work after facial plastic surgery?

I inform patients that they may be bruised and swollen for up to 10 to 14 days. They may return sooner, however by 10 to 14 days a majority of the discoloration and swelling will have resolved.

If I gain weight after Liposuction will the fat return?

Generally, If a patient gains weight after Liposuction it will tend to redistribute to areas of the body that have higher fat stores. In women this frequently is in the breasts and buttocks.

What kind of implants are available for breast augmentation?

Generally saline filled implants are used. They have an outer silicone shell, similar to the silicone used in pacemakers, IV tubing and prosthetic appliances. Saline implants are available in both round and teardrop shapes, which are referred to as anatomic implants. Silicone gel implants are now FDA approved and are available to all women 22 years and older.
